Wow! It’s already February which usually brings thoughts of love and valentines. The Bible teaches much about love. In 1 Corinthians 13:4,7-8 , the apostle Paul wrote “Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” This definition of love is so important to each and every one of us, especially to our children and we all have opportunities to practice this kind of love each day of the year. With Valentine’s Day approaching, we can celebrate our love for others in many ways. This year, as we often do, our children’s Valentine’s Banquet/Party will be held Feb. 12, 2009 at Skateville from 3:45-5:30 pm. The party begins with a time of celebrating on “wheels”, as the kids skate their cares away. We will take some time to “savor” some hamburgers, then back to the rink the skaters will roll. We look forward to seeing many children “ready to roll” with us for some Valentine fun and fellowship. Future children’s events include the following: Mar. 19 BMP 3:30-4:45 pm Apr. 4 Easter Egg Hunt/Party 10-11:30 am May 26 Children’s visitation (Mathews Memorial) and Chuck E Cheese Jun. 1-5 VBS
